Great park especially for kids activities. Pool, lazy river, playground (needs a little more accessories). Sites are well kept, concrete pads, I give them a 10.

I work remotely, we have stayed at KOA Galveston once Before and we had no problems with the Wi-Fi. This trip was different we couldn’t stay on Wi-Fi for very long. This made our trip shorter because I needed Wi-Fi and I missed valuable time working remotely. If you advertised Wi-Fi you should provide it! Overall I love the park it’s clean and staff is friendly.

Enjoyed our stay, the grounds were well maintained and the river and pool were fun.the amenities outside the camp grounds are few unless you drive quite a ways. Overall was very nice

Nice park, great staff, enjoyed our campsite with the Sky deck and view. Great Amenities. We especially enjoyed the lazy river. It was a bit of a distance from Galveston itself but, in the end we really didn’t mind. We enjoyed our stay and the tranquility. We look forward to returning one day.

While we did not take advantage of everything fun Galveston KOA has to offer, we enjoyed our short stay there. The campground is clean and well maintained. It is convenient to restaurants on the West End, and we look forward to coming back soon!

Septic had problem w/number of sites, then gallons of sewage came up pipe @ our site spewing sewage all over our site/stuff. Took 20 min for someone to come, I actually had to walk around and find someone bc no one came right away. Took 2hrs to clean all of our stuff there & another 2 to sanitize @ home. We decided to pack up and leave bc so grossed out. Didn’t get discount just credit day we le

The facilities were very clean and nice. Everything was up-to-date and the rv spot was perfect for us. With large numbers of people I anticipated noise during the late evening hours, but it was very peaceful and quiet.

It was so a great location. You could see the beach from the campsite. The grass was cleanly cut. The kids loved the lazy river and pool. The employees were so friendly and helpful

The last 2 times we stayed there. The Wi-Fi is virtually not existent. If you advertise it, you should have it since Verizon and AT&T or almost not existent on that end of the island.

We love the Galveston Island KOA! The staff is wonderful, the activities are fun and family friendly, and the staff and visitors become family. Definitely a trip we look forward to every year.

Galveston Island KOA was great. We booked really late for Memorial Day Weekend, so we got a spot near the highway (do not recommend - lots of road noise). But had I been on top of my “reservation game,” I would have booked a spot closer to the pool, and one with a deck so you can get a nice view of the bay and maybe a glimpse of the beach. The pool and lazy river were packed, but kept clean.

The stay was very enjoyable, the park was clean staff was very helpful and friendly. Only issue I had was I was told to turn off my music because it "conflicted" with the music you guys were playing. I did not have it blaring and it was not full of curse word and noone could hear the music yall had playing anyways. Other than that I would definitely vist this park again.

Despise the $40 reserve your spot. Called, got a spot, called 2 more times (it was still mine). Get there and we’ve been moved to the road. The road noise of a holiday weekend was not what I was looking forward to! Sold out to a higher bidder. Ants were EVERYWHERE. My family won’t be back and in fact, cancelled our July 4th reservation. Again, Will Not Return there again.

I'm sorry your site was not available. That is why we recommend the Site Guarantee if you are set on a specific one. You did not want to do that and unfortunately on the sold out holiday weekend, it was not available. You did lock in your July stay, but not the May one.

Pros: Friendly staff, nice frozen cocktails available for purchase, nice pool, great live music for Memorial Day, dog park Cons: Crowded, noisy neighbors, beach is too far to walk with beach supplies- very disappointed, wish the showers were temperature controlled in severe heat

Great place to stay in Galveston with nearby beach access. Only things left wanting were grilling facilities as most of the grills were clapped out from the sea being so nearby and exposure to constant wind off the beach. The bathrooms are all elevated so if you have mobility issues, this may be daunting although there is a long ramp to access. The last thing was that there is no sidewalk access to the beach. Plan on walking alongside of the busy highway on the grass because not much of a shoulder and cars are going through pretty quickly. Outside those things the grounds were really nice and well kept, the staff were very affable and helpful, the pool area and lazy rivers were nice although we didn't use them as the weather was a bit rainy on and off. When our plans fell through at the state park, the KOA was a good alternate and would definitely recommend. Will likely come back at some point. Friendly people and friendly neighbors.
