Very friendly staff (Carolyn was very helpful with directions). The place is very well kept and clean. The studio cabin was perfectly appointed and super clean. Overall, a great KOA experience.

KOA was great……..weather was not! Tornado warnings in the early morning hours. Lots of downed tree branches, wind & rain. Everyone was safe & the KOA Staff was FABULOUS! We are going to stay there again in 2 weeks!

We glamped and loved it! The front porch with the rockers was especially nice. Suggestions: elevate television, so you can see it from bed; provide two luggage racks; and tighten picnic table so it doesn't sway.

Great staff, most sites are easy to pull in. We stayed 3 days on our way West with our group. The only complaint I have is the grass needed mowing, it was ankle deep. I would have thought with Memorial weekend coming it would have been done.

The campground was well maintained and the staff friendly and attentive. We had a tornado come close while I was here and the staff was diligent in getting all guests informed and safely in the shelter. I would have given a 5 star rating if the lot had been level on the y axis. Thank you for taking such good care of all of us.

Our site was spacious, Well kept & friendly. It was the nicest site we had on our month long trip that included 13 other KOA's.

We arrived an hour after a tornado had touched down not far from the campground. We received texts regarding the storm shelter if we needed it. The campground is amazing! Lots of fun things to do; although the weather didn’t cooperate. Still a beautiful place!!

Staff are friendly. Sites are clean and spacious. Never disappointed in our stay. Huge dog park and clean bathrooms. We travel thru many times and choose to stay here for a night.

We have traveled all over the country with our 5th wheel and stay predominantly at KOA’s. We have to say this is one of our favorite KOA’s! Park is very neat and clean, and the staff is great! Very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of things to do at this campground as well. We did have pending storms during this stay and we were well notified of safety procedures with timely texts. Beautiful campground! Everyone was very friendly. We had the Hunts pizza one evening and it was delivered promptly and was hot and delicious.

This park greatly needs lighting. I'm not asking for it to be lit up like daytime, but I've never stayed in such a poorly lit KOA in all my years. Also please add additional boathouse/laundries. It's a long walk to the front from many units

This was our first time at this campground and we found it to be very nice. Especially appreciated the dog grounds and family showers and hospitality.

Excellent KOA, RV site was a little close as is a buddy site but okay. Absolutely the BEST wifi connection, all KOA should adopt their system. Very clean bathrooms and park was well taken care of and clean. Only complaint, very few trash cans Plan to stay there again

We found this KOA about 3 or so years ago when we went on a round trip with our camper. It is very clean and easy to get in and out of with the camper. If we are in the area and need a place to stop we will always stop and camp at this KOA. It is on our list of KOA’s to stay at.

Site 123 (changed from 127 as not level). Patio site Utilities good. On that side of the park wish they could have filled some holes that were long on the roads. Second time staying here

Stayed May 14; site 27. We were only here for one night but made the most of it! Very nice campground. We really enjoyed our huge deluxe patio. The two large campground restrooms we used were fantastic. The entire campground was very “green” with all the grass everywhere.

Need another bathhouse in new section. Only one by office/store for whole campgrounds. No trees in new section. For what we needed, it met our needs. Stayed only 1-night. Walked our dog, ate, relaxed, slept and moved on. Staff was friendly and nice.

This was by far best koa we have stayed at,we are full-time in our rv and always look for koa on our travels . If your in area of Des Moines stop here.

Great campground lived the deluxe site! Appreciated not charging for our family guests that came for Mother’s Day! After traveling to Des Moines for the day on Monday lost track of time and as we pulled back in wanted to purchase tee shirts for the family but it was 6:03 and they were locking up !! Lost about $100 in sales !?!

Our site was nice and clean as was the shower area. We walked in a housing development nearby which was very relaxing. We saw 4 deer!

We loved our stay. The staff was so helpful and made sure we had what we needed. The sites were large and we liked that most were pull thru. There was so much to do and our pup loved the dog parks.

The tent camping area is beautiful. We love staying here. The heated pool was nice and warm to swim outside in 80 degree weather. Will be back more this year for more fun!

Was here just overnite and in time for a tornado touchdown just 36 miles away. They had an underground storm shelter that housed about 75 people and 30 dogs. Felt safe and am so glad we stayed here. Definetly gonna stay again on our way back home.

Traveled all over the country staying mostly at KOAs and West Des Moines KOA has to be one of the nicest we've been to! Very clean, very organized and very friendly staff. Rode our bikes on Iowa's prized High Trestle bike trail while there. Will definitely return on our next ravels through Iowa.
