It was a quick overnight stay going to SC and coming back from SC. The folks at check-in and escorts to site were friendly.

Some staff was extremely pleasant and helpful while others made you feel like you were a nuisance with questions. They did have everything listed for amenities but the campground was a lot smaller than anticipated and no schedule of activities for the kids (granted we camped early in the season but others KOA campgrounds always have at least one or two a day for kids).

Had a lovely time! We were out being tourists early morning till late at night and the koa was helpful and accommodating our transactions via texts and a supportive, positive attitude! We had some Fun family time with ping pong and chess!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a small problem with my trailer and they were more than happy to help. Campground is very clean and easy to get around in. So close to both Washington and Baltimore. Definitely would stay again.

We stayed as our daughter had a cheerleading competition in inner harbor so we booked here for the convenience. Campground was very accommodating the park was nice for the kids to use in down time. Definitely will book again in future if we’re at that competition again next year

Very nice, very clean campground!! Bathhouse is shared between men and women which was a little strange, but its clean and safe with locks for each. I give this a 4 star because for a large travel trailer like mine, it was a bit tight. Also, the sewer dump was about 1 foot higher than the campsite. When dumping, sewer doesnt go up. Gravity doesnt work that way so I had to dump when leaving

Only reason for a 4 star overall rating is the sites sre not very level, could use regrading or something to fix that issue. Everything else was terrific, staff extremely friendly and office/ camp store was excellent, great selection of gifts, food, beverages, etc.

We had a cabin, and a camper spot. Our camper site had full 50amp hookups, but we barely had water our entire stay. If you can’t provide all the amenities that are supposed to be included in the price, you need to lower the price. I had to go to the camp store sink to wash dishes, I couldn’t use my own toilet, I couldn’t use my own shower. And all you could say is, it’s on the list to fix,

Many many changes since the last time we stayed there last year. Trees trimmed, new signage and pool furniture. Sites are being leveled and graveled with more improvements to come. It is 10 Minutes from the Odenton MARC station with hourly service to Washington Union station for $7 or less. Much quieter than the other metro DC parks and less expensive. Will return on our next trip.

The staff is extremely helpful and polite. The campground itself leaves a lot to be desired. The fact that the entire section away from the deluxe sites in the front is all gravel is absurd. Not a piece of grass or dirt in site. Tight spaces that were not very level and short. We did not use any of the amenities as it was just an overnight stay, but I do not think we will be back.

This is a beautiful KOA campground! We arrived to our cabin with chilly April weather and the space heater had already been turned on for us. The cabin and grounds were well kept, and bathrooms/showers were always clean. Every person we encountered in the office/store were personable and helpful. We walked the nature trail and it was lovely. Highly recommend this campground!

Nice and friendly KOA!!! It’s about an hour from DC and traffic is bad but they can’t help that. The spots are roomy and nice. The bath house is clean and has good water preasure

The crew working the campground were superb! We loved the cabin. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The best hands down KOA/ campground we have been to yet! Phoenix even helped our 10 year old figure out an easy way to figure out tax, and gave us a baby glass duck for our Jeep~ which was icing on the cake for our 10 yr old!

Good stay even though the weather was poor. Only issue was my GFI outlets would not reset until the rain stopped. When I went to disconnect my shoreline from the box, my plug was damp and their was water in the box, may want to check that.

Staff were extremely helpful in figuring out how we were to get to our tour. They were very patient in making sure that we knew the directions.

It is probably because of its convenience to major metro areas, but I felt this KOA was very expensive for the quality of our RV site. it was among the tightest campgrounds I have experienced. I would suggest that cabin area though. It was more wooded and felt secluded. I do applaud management for having Good office staff welcoming us. They were excellent.

Very good amenities, like the playground, ping pong, chess, etc. Shower facilities were wonderful. The staff were very nice and the prices in the camp shop were very reasonable. I only knocked down the campground due to its location — the traffic noise was constant and occasionally loud. While the traffic is not their fault, it makes for long drives to DC, so plan ahead. Otherwise, great KOA

The campgrounds and staff are exceptionally good. They do not have cable TV but have excellent WIFI. Plan to use WIFI to provide TV connections.

Thee cabin was fine, mostly. It seemed to have been designed for two intimate adults and two children. As two non-intimate adults (my mother and I) it was quite uncomfortable to sleep on the child's size bunk, and I am only 5'4" tall. The only way for the second intimate adult to get into the bed is to crawl, as it was against the wall. The parking area for the cabin was too far from the entrance.

We visited Washington DC during the Cherry Blossom Festival and stayed at the Washington DC / Capitol KOA Holiday campground. It rained every single day during our trip but it didn't dampen our spirits(pun intended). The KOA has a giant chess board, playground, ping pong table and pool near the main entrance. We stayed near the camp store and were a little concerned about noise/traffic. I will happily report that we didn't experience any of that. As I mentioned earlier, it was very rainy and we only took 1 picture of our site #6 which didn't flood. There is a dog park which my puppies were happy to play in (between rain storms). I would recommend checking out the camp store as they have so many cute items to help commemorate your visit as well as items you may have run out of or forgot. I would love to go back and visit during a dryer time.

We only to spend a few days visiting Washington DCstayed one noght as we were traveling through the area, but its in a perfect location to spend a few days visitng Washington DC.

We've been camping at Capitol KOA for years and long ago we use to stay in a tent. One weekend it was raining real hard when we arrived and didn't want to set-up in the rain, so we rented a one room cabin. We have been using the camping cabins for over ten years until this year when we made another move. We rented the Deluxe Cabin with Full Bath & Shower. Great Move! Thanks KOA! Great Staff!
